Cathal O’Reilly is an author, columnist and speaker from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, known for his honest and engaging work exploring mental health, resilience and lived experience.

With over 15 years of professional experience across corporate, multinational, family business and hospitality environments, Cathal brings a grounded and relatable perspective to his work.

His ability to connect real-life experience with meaningful conversation allows him to engage audiences in a way that is both accessible and impactful.Cathal is the author of two books and has appeared on The Today Show, where he spoke about his personal journey and creative work. He has also contributed to national mental health awareness through his involvement in the #TooManyLives campaign, encouraging open conversations around suicide and wellbeing.

He has delivered talks and presentations on the importance of speaking openly about how we are feeling, including work with Teagasc, engaging audiences on communication, mental health and lived experience.

As a writer, Cathal previously authored the Mental Health Matters column for The Nationalist, aimed at reducing stigma and opening up conversations around mental health. His writing has also featured in the Tipp Echo, EchoLive.ieTheJournal.ie, and the Irish Examiner.

Cathal holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Cork, a National Qualification in Exercise, Health and Fitness from the National Training Centre, and is certified in Counselling and Psychotherapy through PCI College.Through his speaking and writing, Cathal creates space for honest, relatable conversations - offering audiences a perspective that is both personal and widely relevant.
